"People don't leave bad companies, they leave bad managers."

Bad Career Advice Podcast
Everyone at some point shares what they hope is good career advice. Usually, it is generic drivel that's not super applicable to the recipient's circumstances.
On the Bad Career Advice podcast, we emphasize generic drivel. It is what we do here, and we hope you like it. If you don't, please take that up with your local HR and/or union boss. Just like the extra hours you put into your boss' pet project in hopes for a better performance review only to get steamrolled, no refunds will be issued.
This is the place to muse on the absurd behavior of the companies, boring jobs and workplace behaviors that are, well, bad. Ready to join in the awesome?

Additional Information & FAQ
Value4Value
What is Value-for-Value?
The Value-for-Value (or 'V4V') model is an economic model for compensating content creators, pioneered by media personalities Adam Curry and John C. Dvorak.
Stephan van Rooden wrote an exceptional summary. From the article, the core of the model is this:
"This model is not the same as a donation. Donations are a gift or gift to achieve a specific goal. It is an actual payment for a service provided.
Where many services require a fixed amount that is determined by the supplier, the roles are reversed for this podcast. The listener determines the value himself. If the podcast has no value to you, you will not return anything."
Instead of letting large media properties and advertisers determine the value of the content you consume, you retain the freedom to assign that value.
How do I show value in the V4V model?
If you find value in the entertainment you get from participating in the community, show that by demonstrating that value via satoshis!
While there are many apps that can help you do this, the easiest is via the Fountain app. There is a lot of support for first time users.
Levels and Titles
Why are there levels/titles?
The corporate workplace is just a giant MLM. The whole goal is to build your teams beneath you, and have them build teams. Kingdom building is the goal, and fat exits and golden parachutes are the reward.
What are the levels/titles?
We all enter the workforce as Slackers. Overpaid for the value we provide, we are freeloading while we learn the skills. Those who haven't sent value via sats, or have done so less than 100,000 sats, are Slackers.
The next level above that is a "Dependent Resource Offering Negligible Effort", or D.R.O.N.E. for short. While you may advance your career beyond the title of D.R.O.N.E., you will always be one. That is why the Bad Career Advice Podcast listeners will always be affectionately referred to as 'the D.R.O.N.E. workforce'.
Head over to the Levels/Titles page to see all the levels and full title explanations! Ultimately, you aspire the the highest title of the most valuable designation in the Bad Career Advice universe, with all of the rights and responsibilities that come with it:
Value4Value 100 Under 100
Levels will be gained via value delivered as sats. Not sure how to do this? Go here to find out!
Boostvertisements
What are Boostvertisers?
The Bad Career Advice Podcast does not have sponsors, but does provide an opportunity for those providing goods (business casual attire, accessories, impenetrable lunchboxes) and services (resume writers, career/life coaches, and recruiters) and to put their name out there for your consideration.
Boostvertisers will get 30 seconds of time, in their own words, to hawk their wares. Don't skip over these people, they are a growing part of the V4V ecosystem!
While the podcast is dedicated to bad career advice, it is also inversely intended to support individuals in their careers. Boostvertisers are just one piece in the positive mission of the podcast. (more to come!)
What if Boostvertisers are scammy?
While we will do our best to prevent any bad actors, there will be a wall of shame for any that show up. Boostvertisers should expect to have an example of their work, their LinkedIn profile, and website details to help people feel comfortable reaching out to them.
People who have the eye know the difference between a real person and a honeypot/spoof account, so the D.R.O.N.E. workforce will work together to call that out.
